The Age of Enlightenment in South America

In the last two or three years the football in South America is experiencing a rediscovery. In the last decades Brazil and Argentina dominate the continent, in clubs and National squads. Now, we can see good teams in Colombia, Chile, Ecuador... and good National teams such as Venezuela.

The most recent exemple is LA U (Universidade de Chile). The "south american Barcelona". LA U don't lose a single match in the last 35 games. Of course LA U isn't like the spanish Barcelona, but is good for the south american football, new teams and players developing in high level.

Teams
Every year new teams come up with good players, showing how the south american teams can be renewed frequently. In the last eight Libertadores, thirteen different teams come to the Final, and since 2007 were 10 different teams.

The strenghtening of the clubs its good for the football in South America, or any other continent.

Players and National teams
With the emergency of new clubs, new players also appear. Now, good  players born in Chile, Paraguay, Peru, Colombia. All countries of the continent have good players.

In the last Copa America, Uruguay and Paraguay played the Final. Uruguay won Argentina, and Paraguay won Brazil in quarter-final.Showing that football is changing in South America.

Future
The purpose of this text is understanding that south american football is more even. Some years ago, every national team use to win Venezuela by 4-0 or 6-0. Nowdays, Venezuela can make hard games against any team, including Brazil or Argentina.

I hope all of  ten nations of South American develope the football in next years, offering nice games and great teams and players.
